My work with Intuitive Eating has been incredibly gratifying. Yet, over the years I’ve been struck by the growing pleas of many people who contact me because they are truly afraid that they don’t know how to eat normally (even after reading the book). They are intelligent and successful people, yet they share common themes—over-scheduled, super-parents, super-workers, super-students, exhausted, stressed-out and want to be healthy. It’s a common refrain:
- “I don’t trust my body”
- “I don’t know how to eat any more”
- “I’m a failure”
- “I worry about what to eat all the time, I’m tired of it”
- “I’m too tired to work out, which makes me feel guilty”
At the heart of these issues, is the need for attunement. There are core barriers that need to be removed and basic needs must be met in order to become an Intuitive Eater and achieve authentic health.
Ultimately, you will learn how to become the expert of your own body and finally experience the pleasure in eating and freedom from the food worry and rules.
It’s a very scary time for both the person suffering from the eating disorder, and his or her family. Eating disorders are very complex, which is why it takes a team to effectively treat an eating disorder. I will work with your therapist and physician, to help you (or your child/loved one) normalize your eating and heal your body nutritionally.
We will also work through the fear-provoking “food rules” and thoughts that keep you from enjoying food, friends, and life. If recovering from an eating disorders was simply about nutrition knowledge, most people would be recovered on their own. Recovery includes creating a healthy relationship with your food, mind and body.

The only treatment for celiac is a gluten-free diet. I also have a personal interest, as my son was diagnosed with celiac over 10 years ago.

Many chronic diseases are caused by inflammation, and what you eat can help make a difference.
